My movie of the week this week is The Young Victoria; the story of Queen Victoria’s early rise to power. Wonderful costumes, stunning locations and a fantastic acting performance from Emily Blunt as the young Queen!
If you love costume drama/historical fiction then Young Victoria is a must watch DVD.

Featuring four stoners, five vegans, three mobsters and four hunters who are all trying to find Jimmy – a junkie circus elephant who has escaped his Russian owners with seven kilos of heroin up his bum. Some cracking movies are released to DVD this week; but the film I am looking forward to most has to be Gran Torino. Starring the legendary Clint Eastwood as Walt Kowalski – a war veteran making a stand against the local gang-bangers. A must watch movie for all Eastwood fans!

The big DVD release this week is Vicky Cristina Barcelona; the Romantic comedy drama which won Penelope Cruz an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

My film of the week on DVD this week is Bolt - an animated adventure from Walt Disney studios. With stars such as John Travolta, Miley Cyrus and Woody Harrelson providing the voiceovers – this is a must watch movie for families.
TV super-dog Bolt (who thinks his TV super-powers are real) accidentally ends up in New York City and has to find his way home to save his human co-star Penny. This week big DVD release is “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. The film is based on the 1920’s short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald and tells the story of a man who is born old and starts aging backwards.
