Based on the best selling book by Bafta winning writer Geoff Thompson; Clubbed tells Danny’s story! Set in the 1980’s club scene - Clubbed is the story of one mans journey to find himself.

Danny is a lonely factory worker who has split from his wife and lives for the few hours he spends with his 2 children each week; when Danny is battered in front of his 2 children in an unprovoked act of violence his life changes through a chance meeting with a club doorman.

Determined to step out of the shadow of fear and intimidation that has haunted his whole life; Danny is determined to fight back and gain back his confidence and self-belief, with the help of his new friends.

Working the door of a popular nightclub helps Danny grow stronger; but also draws him into the murky world of the 1980’s drug scene which is rife at the club. A random series of events then lead to shockingly brutal consequences for Danny and his friends.

Our Verdict on Clubbed DVD

If you are looking for a fast paced violent thriller then Clubbed isn’t for you! It starts and ends at the same steady pace but it had just enough to keep me mesmorised for the full 90 minutes.

Scenes of sadness, fear, laughter and brutal violence combined with a great 80’s soundtrack made this a very watchable film; especially if you are old enough to remember the 80’s clubscene.

Overall I will give Clubbed a rating of 3 out of 5; it’s a good British film which I found easy to watch.
