The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is one of the big DVD releases of 2009! After being nominated for 14 Oscars and winning 3 this DVD has a lot to live up to.
Starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett the film tells the story of Benjamin Button; a baby who is born at the very the end of WWI into an old mans body and then starts to age backwards.
This film is a magical tale of romance, discovery, loss and adventure; focusing on two characters at opposite ends of the age spectrum that seem destined to be apart.
Out Verdict on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button DVD
This is a wonderful movie and both Pitt and Blanchett are excellent throughout; you can feel the chemistry between the two oozing from the screen and I was desperate for them to get together.
As the story plods slowly through Benjamin’s life, we learn about love, friendship, acceptance and loss. We also see some beautiful locations from around the world as we follow Benjamin’s adventures.
I would recommend this film to anyone; my only critisism of the film is the length. I did feel that it could have been condensed into a shorter movie.
It’s a great movie but you will need to have the tissues handy as this DVD may have you in tears. 4/5 stars.
