This week big DVD release is “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. The film is based on the 1920’s short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald and tells the story of a man who is born old and starts aging backwards.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was nominated for thirteen Academy Award nominations and won 3 Oscars; making this one of the big DVD releases of 2009.

Milk DVD
Milk is the riveting biopic about California’s first openly gay elected official, Harvey Milk. Sean Penn gives an amazing performance in his excellent portrayal of the assassinated gay rights activist.
Doubt DVD
Set in 1964 and based loosely on true events, Doubt is a gripping story about a nun (Meryl Streep) who confronts Father Flynn (Philip Seymour Hoffman) after suspecting him of abusing a black student at a Catholic primary school. The priest denies the charges but Sister Aloysius is determined to oust Father Flynn; even though she has no proof of the allegations.
My Bloody Valentine DVD
Bloodthirsty fans of classic slasher films such as Halloween/Friday the 13th, will love “My Bloody Valentine”; an entertaining and blood thirsty horror film. The film showed in gory 3D at the cinemas – unfortunately the DVD isn’t available in 3D but that shouldn’t put off slasher movie fans.
