This adult-orientated animated adventure tells the weird and wacky tale of 5 vegan animal rights activists, 4 stoners, 3 Lapland mobsters, 4 moose hunters and one Russian circus elephant.
Jimmy (the Russian elephant) is malnourished, addicted to a cocktail of uppers and downers and has seven kilos of heroin hidden up his backside.
When Jimmy escapes into the wild after a botched attempt to liberate him; the zany bunch of characters set out to be the first to find him!
Jimmy’s only hope of escape comes from his new friend – the mountain moose.
Our Verdict on Free Jimmy DVD
Free Jimmy has great animation, a good-line up of big name voice-over actors but is let down by a poor story.
It’s certainly wacky and some of the characters are great; but I struggled to get through to the end of the film. This film is probably best enjoyed after a few pints!
My overall rating is 2/5 stars; it wasn’t my cup of tea but it did have some laughs.
