This week see’s the release of a couple of the years big films; Slumdog Millionaire and The Wrestler! Both films were highly rated whilst on the big screen and both are now available on DVD.
Slumdog Millionaire DVD
Slumdog Millionaire took all the honours at this years Oscars and has now come to DVD. Will the film live up to it’s hype? The film is about Jamal, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai. Only one question away form a life changing win on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”, Jamal is arrested on suspision of cheating. The film then follows Jamal’s life story as he attempts to show the police how he knows so much.

The Wrestler DVD
Mickey Rourke makes his much acclaimed come back in The Wrestler. Mickey plays the part of retired professional wrestler, Randy “The Ram” Robinson who makes a remarkable comeback after injury, to have one final wrestling showdown with his former rival.

Madge and Janice rush to save them both only to be kidnapped by a drug smuggling murderer; laughs and surprises aplenty throughout with a spectacular Bruce Willis style ending on the roof of the Solana.
