This Weeks New DVD Releases : 29th June 2009

Some cracking movies are released to DVD this week; but the film I am looking forward to most has to be Gran Torino. Starring the legendary Clint Eastwood as Walt Kowalski – a war veteran making a stand against the local gang-bangers. A must watch movie for all Eastwood fans!

Confessions of a Shopaholic DVD

Confessions of a Shopaholic is an enjoyable romantic comedy based on the popular novel by Sophie Kinsella. Isla Fisher takes the leading role as Rebecca Bloomwood; a New Yorker who loves to shop… Maybe a little too much. Desperate for her dream job at her favourite magazine she lands a job giving financial advice and tries desperately to hide her past. Definitely one for the ladies!

New in Town DVD

Another rom-com starring everyones favourite Renee Zellweger. Renee plays Lucy Hill, a high powered corporate executive sent to a small town Minnesota factory which her company has bought. This leads to hostilities with the locals when Lucy has to do the dirty work!

Che – Part 1 and 2

The incredible story of one of the 20th century’s most influential political figures; Argentine revolutionary Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara. Part 1 of this epic biopic sees Che partner with Fidel Castro to overthrow the corrupt Cuban dictatorship. Part 2 sees Che embark on an even greater mission – the Latin American revolution.

Forever Strong

Rugby loving Rick is forced to play for a rival team after being sent to jail. Reluctantly Rick agrees and joins the team to get back into the game.
